In album: SOLD....1981 BMW R100RS, Grey. 56,000 Miles. Fresh 10K Service. Koni shocks, Brown Sidestand, tall tint windshield, braided stainless front brake lines.
This 1981 BMW R100RS is fully serviced and ready to ride. We just completed a 10K Major Factory Service, and installed a new battery. It has 56,000 Miles.
This model of BMW was the first motorcycle ever built with a wind tunnel designed fairing. The riding position is “Euro Sport”; a relaxed slight forward lean without the much more cramped and radical American Sportbike riding position. The fairing fully protects the rider from wind and rain, except for the rider’s toes. The big 40mm carbs give great top end and a very torque filled midrange without sacrificing a reasonable mileage range of between 40 MPG when blasting it full throttle, and 49 MPG when cruising at legal speeds. This bike is seriously fun to ride! The bike is equipped with Koni shocks, braided stainless front brake lines, Reynolds ride-off centerstand, Brown sidestand, and a tall tint windshield. The paint is in good condition, and it has good exhaust. The tires are top quality Metzellers, with enough wear left to finish the season, but will probably need replaced in the Spring..
