1973 BMW R75/5 LWB. BLACK. Large 22 Liter fuel tank, Very clean & original, Matching Numbers. Hannigan Touring Fairing. New tires, only original 15,128 miles. This 1973 BMW R75/5 is the much sought after Long Wheel Base model (LWB), which provides more passenger seating room, and better high-speed stability due to the longer wheelbase. This bike is very clean and Original & correct as delivered from the factory. The bike has a period correct Butler & Smith Luggage Rack, and exhaust header guards. The mufflers are also the correct /5 “Cigar Tip” style from BMW, and are in VERY good condition. It is also equipped with the BMW “S” handlebars, a common Dealer Option. It is equipped with a beautiful Hannigan Touring Fairing. The Hannigan is a Wind Tunnel engineered fairing designed in the early 1970’s by a retired NASA Aerospace Engineer. The fairing is made of a Space Age fiberglass that is VERY light weight yet VERY rigid & strong. The dead air space behind the fairing is uncommonly good; this makes for a very comfortable ride without a lot of buffeting commonly found with most other popular aftermarket period fairings. New Dunlop tires have just been installed, front & back. The motor top end has just been resealed to stop minor leaks commonly found on Vintage BMWs. The carbs were also cleaned and rebuilt. New original Continental cloth wrapped fuel line has been installed. With inline fuel filters. There is a tool tray, but no tool kit or tire pump.

Headlight bucket ovalized, instead of round. Needs fixed to mount stock headlight insert.

Bucket will need to be un-wired to be removed, so metal man can re-shape it to proper round shape on the bench. Then it will be able to properly retain the needed stock headlight insert.

Also need stock Aluminum bodied turn signals, stalks, and wiring.
